Brent Hampton and Wanda (Wilson) Hampton celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary with family and friends on Saturday, September 5, 2009, at Ansel Baptist Church’s reception room.
They were married on September 8, 1959, in Somerset, Kentucky.
Their marriage has been blessed with three children: Kathy (and Gary) Scherrer of Fairfield, Ohio; Mike (and Leah) Hampton of Lexington, Kentucky; and Connie Hampton of Science Hill, Kentucky.
They also have three grandchildren: Carrie (and Duane) Taylor of Trenton, Ohio, and Andrew and Jessica Hampton of Lexington.
The couple and their family would like to thank those who attended the celebration and the many who extended good wishes.

Leonard states: “It was strange that it took so long for people to get together in those times. We lived just 6 miles apart but never knew each other for several years. I met Elva on a Sunday night at Fellowship Methodist Church where we still belong and attend when we are able.” -
