Frank and Shelby (Fowler) Pitman of Somerset celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary Thursday, August 4, 2011.
Frank and Shelby were married August 4, 1961, at Travis Air Force Base, California, with Chaplain Warren E. Ferguson officiating.
Frank is a retiree of Rockwell International and ArvinMeritor Inc.
Shelby is a retiree of the Lexington-Bluegrass Army Depot.
They are members of Pleasant Hill Baptist Church.
Frank and Shelby have been blessed with a daughter, Sandra Adams; son-in-law, Timothy Paul Adams; and two granddaughters, Erin Michele and Alexandra Courtney Adams of Lexington.
