The Rev. Cal Collins united Caudie Redmond and Rachel Girdler Redmond in marriage March 5, 1945, in Nancy, Ky.

The couple is blessed with six children: Diana (and Dallas) Davis, Doris (and Gene) Simpson, Donna (and Allen) Johnson, Deborah Reynolds, Marcus (and Shelly) Redmond and Michael Redmond.

They have 15 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.

Although no formal celebration is planned, the family would like to express our heartfelt thanks to everyone who wished the couple many more happy years and offered their congratulations on this special occasion.

Leonard Wilson Sears was born on February 1, 1915.
Elva Bales Sears came along on May 4, 1918.
Leonard states: “It was strange that it took so long for people to get together in those times. We lived just 6 miles apart but never knew each other for several years. I met Elva on a Sunday night at Fellowship Methodist Church where we still belong and attend when we are able.”
