Wedding bells rang for Windell and Grace Floyd 65 years ago – February 22, 1947.
They have had an active life together with their work and travels.
Windell has been a Civil Service employee most of his working career. This has caused promotional moves to different locations and states. Grace, also as a teacher, taught in each town they were living.
They had three children, who had to leave friends and make new ones with each move.
Vangie Hansen now lives in Grand Junction, Colo.; David Floyd in Bemidji, Minn.; and Walter Floyd in Wauwatosa, Wisc.
They also have six grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
They returned back to Pulaski County in 1992 where they have a home in the Somerset area.
God has been good to us.

Leonard Wilson Sears was born on February 1, 1915.
Elva Bales Sears came along on May 4, 1918.
Leonard states: “It was strange that it took so long for people to get together in those times. We lived just 6 miles apart but never knew each other for several years. I met Elva on a Sunday night at Fellowship Methodist Church where we still belong and attend when we are able.” -
